Vero Liability provides Work Care/Work Accident insurance to give employers an ability to provide early reparation payments in cases of certain workplace injuries or death.
Work Care/Work Accident cover provides upfront funds of up to $50,000 for an employer to pass onto the victim (or their estate in the event of a fatality) in the case of certain workplace injuries or death. The policy is designed to complement the Health & Safety at Work Act cover provided under our Statutory Liability policy.
In the event of a fatality the Work Care/Work Accident policy also provides for funeral expenses in addition to the sum insured of $10,000.
An early voluntary reparation payment is often taken into account by courts when determining the level of fines payable (which are uninsurable) and what reparation payment needs to be made.
Any employer.
